Life near the parks
Living near Disney, Universal and Central Florida's attractions
For a lot of our customers, living close to the theme parks is part of the reason they chose Central Florida. These articles cover what that is really like: which areas give you a short drive to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld, what is happening around town each week, and how the parks shape traffic, jobs and home values nearby.
Towns people choose for park access
Buyers who want to be near the Disney side of Orlando often look at Kissimmee, Davenport, Celebration, Windermere and Clermont. Those closer to Universal and International Drive look at Orlando itself, including Dr. Phillips. Each town page shows the homes for sale today, recent sold prices and drive times to the parks.
Vacation homes and short-term rentals
Some communities near the parks allow short-term rentals, and some do not, and the rules can change by HOA. If you are thinking about a vacation home you will rent out, ask a CENTURY 21 Edge agent which communities permit it before you make an offer, and try our short-term rental calculator.
