Mortgage and home affordability calculators for Florida
Use these free calculators to see what you can afford, what your monthly payment would be, whether renting or buying makes more sense, and whether refinancing would save you money. They use today's company mortgage rate and let you change every number.
Which calculator do I need?
Start with Affordability if you are not sure of your price range. Use Mortgage once you have a home in mind to see principal, interest, taxes and insurance. Rent vs. Buy compares the long-term cost of each. Investors can use the Flip, Short-Term Rental and Investment calculators to test a property before making an offer.
Florida costs to include
In Florida, property taxes, homeowners insurance and flood insurance can change a monthly payment as much as the interest rate does, and many communities add an HOA fee. Check the median taxes and HOA fees on any town page, such as Orlando or Tampa, and enter them for a more accurate number.
